Dr. Michael Killough is the founder, President/Owner, and Optometric Physician at Vision Care Consultants, which he established in 2005.
A native of Blytheville, Arkansas, Dr. Killough graduated from Blytheville High School in 1994. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lyon College in 1998 and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2002. Following graduation, he provided optometric care throughout Northeast Arkansas, serving as a fill-in doctor for various practices until opening his own practice in 2005. With 23 years of experience, Dr. Killough remains dedicated to delivering high-quality eye care to Northeast Arkansas.
As a licensed Optometric Physician in the state of Arkansas, Dr. Killough is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal abrasions, foreign body removal, eye pain and redness, conjunctivitis (pink eye), changes in vision such as blurriness or floaters, dry eye, and ocular allergies.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Killough enjoys a full family life with his wife, Beverly; their three daughters—Alexis, Kenleigh, and Braelyn; his son-in-law, Braxten; and his grandson, Asher. He has a passion for all things automotive, especially fast cars. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with his family, working on cars, and drag racing.

Beverly Killough has been working in the eye care field since 2003, with the majority of those years spent alongside her husband, Dr. Michael Killough. She serves as the Vice President/Owner, Bookkeeper, Insurance and Billing Manager, and Marketing Manager of Vision Care Consultants. With comprehensive experience in every role within the practice, Beverly is an invaluable asset to the team, stepping in wherever needed to ensure the office runs smoothly and patients receive the highest standard of care.
When not in the office, Beverly plays a key behind-the-scenes role handling all insurance processing, accounts receivable and accounts payable, and a wide range of administrative duties. She also manages essential financial operations such as payroll, vendor payments, and bookkeeping, as well as marketing initiatives, ensuring the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of the office, Beverly enjoys spending time with her family. Her personal interests include fitness and strength training, gardening, fast cars, crafting, traveling, and creating lasting memories with loved ones.
Kenleigh joined Vision Care Consultants in 2024, continuing the family's strong legacy within the practice as the daughter of Dr. Michael Killough and Beverly Killough. As a Receptionist and Insurance Verification Specialist, Kenleigh is often one of the first friendly faces to greet patients upon arrival, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment.
In her role, she is responsible for managing front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and assisting with patient pre-testing as needed. Her strong organizational skills, versatility, and dedication to excellent service make her a valuable asset to the team.
Kenleigh’s positive attitude and professionalism contribute significantly to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office and to the exceptional experience patients have at Vision Care Consultants.
